Full Moon in 4° of Cancer

Publisert: 28 December 2023

The last full Moon of 2023 is activating the elements of water, fire and earth. None of the air-signs are involved - other than Libra, housing the South Node. This is not a time for logical, calculated thinking - it is a time to feel deep, to ground into yourself, and reignite the passions that fuels your life with meaning and purpose.

Cancer is the sign of the crab: The creature that is carrying its home - comfort zone - on its back. Cancer is the sign of childhood, family, roots and emotional foundation. Full Moons are times of letting go. It might be time to let go of something familiar that holds you back from your potential. In some way, you have outgrown your own shell.

Mars (23°) and Mercury retrograde (25°) are conjunct in Sagittarius, and they are making a trine to the North Node in Aries (21°). Trines between the North Node and other planets indicate a harmonious alignment with our karmic path and the direction in which we are meant to grow. Aries embodies the spirit of initiation; the seed of life itself, while Sagittarius represents the pursuit of higher knowledge and truth. Something about you is changing and you are becoming a new version of yourself.

The Moon is in a trine to Saturn in 2° of Pisces. Whatever it is you are processing now is an important part of your spiritual/personal growth. It will help you on your soul's journey, and contribute to the collective in the way that you step closer to what you are meant to be contributing with in this life.

Jupiter is in 5° of Taurus, making a sextile to both the Moon in 4° of Cancer and Saturn in 2° of Pisces. However, Jupiter is retrograde. The expansive nature of Jupiter is turned inwards, helping you reflect on Taurean matters: Your value, your skills and your potential. How can you put them to use, properly, without your outgrown shell limiting you?

Venus in 26° of Scorpio is making a sextile to Pluto in 29° of Capricorn and a trine to Neptune in 25° of Pisces. We are craving what is raw and real. We want our life to have meaning. We want to have purpose. Pluto is bulldozing the last broken pillars of Capricorn; preparing us to lay a new foundation. It is time to build a bigger and better house. Maybe one that is on a steady ground, that you can leave and come back to as you like, so that you don't have to carry it around and be so exhausted by its weight.
